Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery in India comes with the availability of latest and modern medical technologies enabled hospitals. The growing compliance on international quality standards, as well as the fact that foreigners are not likely to face a language barrier also is the other reasons why there is a rush. While hospitals and medical units catering the Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery in India have the Joint Commission International (JCI) and National Accreditation Board (NABH) certification, which of late have mushroomed all across the country. While the surgeons and medical team catering Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery in India are the most competent with most of the have massive experience of handling complex cases both here and abroad.

Lower Gastrointestinal is defined as an abnormal Intraluminal blood loss from a source distal to the Treitz ligamentum. Lower Gastrointestinal bleeding is classified under three groups according to the amount of bleeding. Massive hemorrhage is a life-threatening condition and requires transfusion of at least 5 units of blood. An emergency operation is required in approximately 10% of patients with Lower Gastrointestinal bleeding. When the bleeding point is localized, perform a limited segmental resection of the small or large bowel. A limited segmental resection is preferred because it can be performed with low morbidity, mortality, and rebleeding rates. If the patient is hemodynamically unstable because ongoing hemorrhage, perform an emergency Lower Gastrointestinal surgery before any diagnostic study. In these cases, the surgeon makes every attempt to diagnose the bleeding point intraoperatively. Intraoperative EGD, surgeon-guided enteroscopy, and colonoscopy may be helpful in diagnosing undiagnosed massive GI bleeding. Depending on the availability of local resources and the patient’s condition, it may sometimes be better to perform subtotal colectomy under Lower Gastrointestinal Surgery with distal ileal inspection than to try to achieve these other tests, particularly if the surgeon is not privileged or comfortable with endoscopy. If the bleeding point cannot be diagnosed following a thorough intraoperative endoscopy and examination and if evidence points to colonic bleeding, perform a subtotal colectomy with ileorectal anastomosis.

The various Dental treatments in India includes the combined prostheses with milling, Dental Bonding, Dental Bridges, Dental Caps, Dental Crowns, Dental Fillings, Dental Implants, Dentures, Root Canals, Teeth Whitening, Tooth Contouring and Reshaping, Composite and Porcelain Tooth Veneers.

The following are the five reasons for having your Dental treatments in India:

1. Price: This is the main reason most foreign patients initially cite for their decision to go overseas for their Dental treatments in India. This sole factor has made India to emerge as one of the lowest priced places for any medical treatment.

2. Service: Besides the costs, many people appreciate the superior service found in Indian hospitals, for various Dental treatments. With best English speaking staff always for you at a single call, alleviates the language barrier from the foreign patients, thus making things easy for them.

3. Quality: Indian hospitals ensure that the foreign patients get eminent and very experienced dentists effectively the best that country has to offer. Interestingly, the notion of quality with low cost proves wrong with almost all the medical treatments including the Dental treatments in India.

4. Availability: Medical tourists also have greater access to different treatment types than those who choose not to travel. Dental treatments in India or any medical treatment or surgeries are easily available with almost no wait list of patients unlike the trend seen in developed nations like UK or US or any European country. Here the idea of medical treatment work on priority basis, the urgent comes in the first row, while the rest follow.

5. Tourism: Medical tourism is often as much about the tourism as the medicine. For those undergoing Dental treatments in India, there is no better place to recover than a bungalow with a view of the beach while receiving your physical therapy (or massage). Similarly, for family accompanying a patient a week at the beach or a shopping spree can clear up a lot of stress following a surgery.

Dental treatments in India have the tradition for indulging the patients in luxury! Gone are the greens and whites of a hospital, replaced by a warm, friendly ambience of pastel colors, paintings, friendly staff and transparency.

Surrogacy is an arrangement whereby a woman agrees to become pregnant and deliver a child for a contracted party. Surrogacy is a viable solution for infertility. An enterprise known as reproductive outsourcing is a new but rapidly expanding business in India. Clinics that provide surrogate mothers for foreigners say they have recently been inundated with requests from the United States,Australia,U.A.E and Europe, as word spreads of India’s mix of skilled medical professionals, relatively liberal laws and low prices.

India is emerging as a leader in international surrogacy and a major destination in surrogacy related medical tourism. Indian surrogates have been increasingly popular with infertile couples in the industrialized nations.

“People are increasingly exposed to the idea of surrogacy in India; Oprah Winfrey talked about it on her show,”

Surrogacy Mumbai, one of surrogacy clinic in India, offers a wide range of options to fulfill your dreams of parenthood. With the most well-equipped, state of the art infertility treatment available and highly experienced experts in the field; They have been able to assist couples and singles all over the world at a most affordable price. Surrogacy Mumbai offers services to Intended Parents,a positive alternative to those who had encountered countless obstacles on their journey to parenthood in the U.S. and other countries.

India is home to medical skills of very high standard, and has a thriving industry loosely called “medical tourism”, which combines the best in tourism with access to quality medical care.

Mumbai (formerly called Bombay) is a major metropolis, and has its own international airport. Mumbai offers a cosmopolitan and assimilative ethos which puts every visitor to this city at ease. It offers too a very business-like approach to issues of day-to-day living, which ensures the right amount of privacy should you choose to have it.

The range of treatment options is broad, and is at the fore-front of ART technology.

Surrogacy in India, Mumbai offers a unique opportunity for discretion, which would be difficult to achieve in the U.S.,U.K.,australia,U.A.E.

Surrogacy in India has become an increasingly popular alternative for Americans, Europeans, Australians and Scandinavians intended parents.

HIGHER PREGNANCY RATES

In India, assisted pregnancy rates are very high. This is because they are able to transfer more embryos at each attempt- unlike clinics in many countries where this number is limited by law.

While transferring more embryos does increase the risk of higher-order pregnancies, this risk is well mitigated at by customizing the number of embryos transferred for each patient treated as per personal medical circumstances.

ECONOMICAL TREATMENT:

The cost for Surrogacy in India is roughly one-third of what it costs in the U.S., U.K., Australia, U.A.E.

IVF is less expensive in India, even though we use exactly the same technology, the same equipment and culture medium as the best labs worldwide do.

LEGAL:

The laws for Surrogacy in India favor intended parents more than other countries.

Surrogacy is legal in India. There are definite guidelines laid down by ICMR a governing body appointed by the Indian Health Ministry which is strictly enforced at our clinic. The birth certificate is issued in the names of the intended parent(s).

Surrogate mother program is legal in India where due to excellent medical infrastructure, high international demand and ready availability of cheap cost surrogates mothers it is attaining a boom.

Whether it is financial, legal, immigration, travel, or medical issues that Intended Parents had to contend with; these issues are no longer going to keep anyone from their dream of beginning a family.

We were excited to read recently about how minimally invasive heart surgery in India is now available as a medical tourism option for visitors from other countries such as the USA and Canada. Minimally invasive heart surgery is performed through a small incision, often using specialized surgical instruments. The incision is about 2 to 4 inches instead of the 6- to 8-inch incision required for traditional surgery. Keyhole approaches or port-access techniques are also available for some types of surgery.

In recent years, new ways of doing heart surgery have been developed. One new way is off-pump, or beating heart, surgery. This is like traditional open-heart surgery, but it doesn’t use a heart-lung bypass machine. Minimally invasive heart surgery uses smaller incisions (cuts) than traditional open-heart surgery. Some types of minimally invasive heart surgery use a heart-lung bypass machine and others don’t. Heart surgery is used to treat people who have severe heart diseases and conditions when other treatments have failed.

Traditional open-heart surgery is done by opening the chest wall to operate on the heart. The patient is connected to a heart-lung bypass machine. This machine takes over the pumping action of the heart, makes sure the blood gets enough oxygen, and allows surgeons to operate on a still heart.
The results of heart surgery in adults are often excellent. For very ill people with severe heart problems, heart surgery can reduce symptoms, improve quality of life, and increase lifespan. Having the industry’s most elaborate and exclusive patient care and clinical coordination teams stationed at each hospital, patients receive the smoothest and most seamless care ever imagined.

Medical Tourism is a multibillion dollar industry with millions of patients traveling each year to different countries or regions for medical care. One of the most overlooked aspects of medical tourism is domestic medical tourism, often referred to as regional medical tourism, where patients do not leave their country but travel to another region within their country, and inbound medical tourism where foreign patients travel to the US for healthcare. US Hospitals and healthcare providers will discuss both inbound and domestic medical tourism at this year’s 3rd Annual World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress, September 22-24th, 2010 in Los Angeles, http://www.medicaltourismcongress.com.

“Geography should not be a barrier in terms of getting the best medical care,” said Michael McMillan, Executive Director of Market & Network Services at Cleveland Clinic. “It is the idea of getting it right the first time. By ensuring the patient gets the best outcome, it results in more efficient and cost-effective care. Employers are increasingly seeking value-driven models of healthcare delivery, and Cleveland Clinic specializes in providing high-value healthcare.”

Domestic Medical Tourism is starting to grow in the United States much like it has done throughout Eastern and Western Europe as American and EU patients start understanding the healthcare that is offered outside of their home town or city. American domestic medical, sometimes referred to as domestic medical travel, is where medical tourists are starting to travel to other cities and states across America either to receive higher quality of healthcare or healthcare at more affordable prices. Domestic Medical Tourism presents a huge opportunity for US hospitals and for surgeons who specialize in specialized procedures such as orthopedics, heart procedures, eye surgery and other specialized procedures.

“More employers and insurance companies are providing incentives such as waiving deductibles, coinsurance and travel expenses of the insured if they will travel to another region or city for medical care. Lowe’s and the Cleveland Clinic’s domestic medical tourism program for heart procedures is a perfect indication of the trend of employers offering this type of benefit. The savings are significant and can be as high as twenty to fifty percent,” Said Renee-Marie Stephano, President of the Medical Tourism Association and Editor of Medical Tourism Magazine.

Inbound Medical Tourism, where patients from other countries travel to the US for healthcare is also growing significantly. Hospitals in the US are looking for new revenue sources especially in the face of reduced revenues under healthcare reform.

Foreign patients represent the potential for high profit revenue for hospitals in the form of cash paying foreign patients or patients covered by a global health insurance policy of an international insurance company.

“As more people around the world understand the importance of the transparency in the quality of medical care, many are demanding that their global health insurance policies permit reimbursement for overseas medical care. American Hospitals are looking to regain some of their inbound patient flow by creating greater visibility through marketing in medical tourism. It is more challenging now for hospitals to stand alone on their reputations as more hospitals enter the global marketplace. More affiliations and academic relations are emerging to unite their facilities with overseas referral centers,” adds Stephano.

The 3rd Annual World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress will have a special focus on domestic medical tourism and inbound medical tourism to the US. Several top US hospitals will be speaking and there will be a special panel session featuring Lowe’s Companies and the Cleveland Clinic talking about their domestic medical tourism program. http://www.medicaltourismcongress.com.

Domestic Medical Tourism is sometimes referred to as domestic medical travel.

The World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress includes two additional conferences which are the Expatriate Healthcare, Travel Insurance and Global Health Insurance Conference, http://www.expatriateconference.com and the Sustainable Healthcare and Hospital Development Conference, http://www.healthcaredevelopmentconference.com. Speakers listed above are from all three conferences.

The conference is the official conference of the Medical Tourism Association™ (Global Healthcare Association) which is the international non-profit trade association for the medical tourism and global healthcare industry made up of the top international hospitals, healthcare providers, medical travel facilitators, insurance companies, and other affiliated companies and members with the common goal of promoting the highest level of quality of healthcare to patients in a global environment. http://www.medicaltourismassociation.com.
The conference is also the official conference of the Medical Tourism Magazine (Global Healthcare Magazine). The MTM’s printed version on average is distributed to over 90 countries around the world in all 5 regions inclusive of thousands of International Hospitals, International Health Insurance Carriers in the Middle East, US, UK and Canada, healthcare providers throughout the world, the travel industry, potential medical tourism patients considering going overseas for surgery, and anyone with an interest in the industry. The magazine is also distributed to a majority of the health plans which administer Self Funded Employer health plans in the U.S. Medical Tourism Magazine can be read at http://www.medicaltourismmag.com/.

According to the new research report “Poland Medical Tourism Market 2013” by TechSci Research, Poland is fast emerging as one of the favored destinations for medical treatment among international travelers world-wide. The total number of tourists visiting Poland for medical treatments rose to 300,000 during 2009 from a few thousand visitors a decade ago.

Most medical travelers have been visiting Polish clinics and hospitals for plastic surgery and dentistry treatment.

According to the report “Poland Medical Tourism Market 2013”, the cost of medical services is very competitive in Polish health care facilities depending upon location, procedures and duration of treatment. It is estimated that a medical tour including leisure and tourism activities to Poland can cost less than even 50% of what patients would pay at home. Absence of any waiting time for getting treatment in Polish clinics and hospitals has also contributed towards the popularity of Poland as a favored destination for medical tourism.

In the opinion of TechSci Research, Poland needs to focus more on promotional and marketing activities in order to attract large number of international travelers to its health care facilities. The absence of any marketing and promotional effort could affect the emergence of Poland on the global medical tourism industry landscape and could result in an opportunity loss of millions of dollars in revenue for Polish health clinics and hospitals.

“Poland Medical Tourism Market 2013” gives a detailed and unprejudiced and detailed overview of the various aspects of medical tourism industry in Poland. Report helps reader to get overview on the latest trends, medical tourism market revenue, number of medical tourist arrival, and treatment cost comparison between Poland and other destinations. Report also gives brief overview on the existing health care infrastructure in Poland in terms of number of public and private hospitals, medical personnel, and health resorts.

Boai Medical Group, China’s largest private medical organisation, has commenced international operations that will provide a unique medical tourism services for international patients. The move allows for the Group’s specialist treatment modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combined with western medicine to be provided for a wider patient group. Modern Hospital Guangzhou – a flagship institution within the Boai Group – is spearheading the expansion and has recently appointed an international medical tourism consultancy firm to develop its marketing and improve its patient quality practices.

“TCM has long been established as a mainstream medical model throughout the whole of East Asia, but in the western world, it is considered as an alternative health system,” said Dr. Carlos Che, Professor of Oncology at Modern Hospital Guangzhou. “What we offer is a treatment program that provides the best of both philosophies of care, as we have a wealth of clinical evidence that shows that TCM can enhance western medicine. We are very much looking forward to bringing the benefits of this approach to patients in the Gulf region,” he added.

Modern Hospital Guangzhou is one of Boai Group’s 56 medical institutions in China and has pioneered combining modern medical techniques with traditional forms of treatment. The hospital has highly specialised centres to treat infertility, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and is renowned for its advanced cancer treatments. Cancer, in its various forms, remains one of the most significant life-threatening conditions in human history, with the World Health Organisation revealing that around 7.6 million people across the globe died of the disease in 2008; a figure that equates to almost 20,000 per day.

“The established western techniques to treat cancer involve surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but at Modern Hospital we utilise TCM to improve the efficacy of this treatment,” said Dr. Che. “Numerous clinical observations and trials have proved that TCM is effective as an anti-cancer treatment, with its agents working with the body to promote its natural defences against the disease. Common TCM medications include milkvetch root, asparagus and epimedium, and compounds in these plants have been shown to assist the body in its fight against carcinoma. A compound in milkvetch root, for example, interacts with interleukin-2, an important immune system mediator. Asparagus can induce the death of tumour cells and epimedium facilitates restoration of the immune system and can further protect the functions of the adrenal gland and bone marrow,” he added.

Research appears to validate this particular treatment modality. In one study, Professor Lin Hongsheng, Deputy Director of the Chinese Journal Professional Association of Integrative Oncology, applied ‘Fuzheng Anti-cancer Prescription’ in conjunction with western medication for 56 patients with advanced gastric cancer post surgery. The patients were followed up for 12 years, with the results revealing that their five-year and 10-year survival rates were 30.36% and 12.5% respectively; statistics that revealed that the approach was more successful than alternative treatment options. Similarly, Dr. Zhang Wen from Shanghai Cancer Hospital successfully applied the Chinese medicine Kanglaite by injection for liver cancer treatment; a technique which increased the five-year survival rate for liver cancer patients by 15%.

Boai Group has recently appointed a leading medical tourism consultancy firm, ExHealth, to develop its practice within Medical Tourism Industry. ExHealth will be partnering with the Group to assist it with aspects relating to international patient practices and to identify new opportunities for them, as well as providing support on ethical, cultural and legal issues.

India is fast emerging as the ’surrogacy capital of the world’ with a huge business in ‘fertility tourism’. A burgeoning number of Indian women are turning to be surrogates for childless foreign couples. Fueling the surrogacy service from India are a slew of factors, including low medical costs, a highly qualified medical workforce and lax surrogacy laws.Renting of womb is legal in India but there is no law to regulate surrogacy.

And precisely because it is a booming sector, it also needs to be better regulated, and so Indian government has taken step Smoothing Surrogacy law in India.

The new draft Bill legalizing surrogacy in India — the Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) [Regulation] Bill 2010 — has provided for single parenthood by allowing “unmarried couples” and “single persons” from India and abroad to have children using ART procedure and surrogate mothers.Govt proposes womb banks to legalize surrogacy in India. These ART banks will be independent of IVF clinics. Oocyte (unfertilized egg) and semen preservation will be their main focus.

By conferring the right to have children on unmarried couples and single persons, the bill attempts to achieve several historic feats – legalizing commercial surrogacy, single parenthood, live-in relationships and entitling gays and lesbians to start families using surrogate mothers – at one go.

This is a positive step in favor of choice and equality as it could open up a legal channel for anyone, irrespective of gender, sexual orientation or marital status, to start their own families. Presently there are no laws regulating surrogacy births, something that has resulted in complications in some cases.

Renting a womb could soon become a completely legal and hassle-free experience, both for Indian as well as foreign couples looking for surrogate mothers in the country.

Although Commercial surrogacy has been legal in India since 2002, as it is in few other countries, including the United States. But India is the leader in making it a viable industry rather than a rare fertility treatment. With the new Smoothing of law for Surrogacy in India and with the changing face of surrogacy inIndia,As commercial surrogacy takes off, rent-a-womb trend,Outsourcing pregnancy to India will be growing trend.More and more people from globe helping one another to have a new life in this world. It is truly global experience

Now everyone can have baby ,with the new draft bill on its way soon surrogacy in India will open its doors of commercial surrogacy for all couples,Single men, single women, lgbt, gays and lesbians may soon get the legal sanction to undergo surrogacy in India.Another form of medical tourism or LGBT tourism at Mumbai in Maharashtra, India are fast emerging as hubs for surrogate mothers and IVF clinics in India. Gay tourism or LGBT tourism is a form of niche tourism marketed to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.

Why Surrogacy in India?

In the United States, laws governing adoption and surrogacy vary from state to state, while in India the service is legal, so far at least — non-discriminatory on grounds of sexual orientation.Foreigners find Indian legal procedures easy and less exploitative, unlike [in the] U.S., where any complication could cost a fortune.

The reasons for India emerging as a favorite destination for surrogacy are many. The country boasts the best IVF services in the world and the fact that English is widely spoken makes it easier for foreigners to avail of medical services. Moreover, it costs almost one-fifth of what it would in the West.

India has taken advantage of the medical tourism surge in general and is at the forefront of the global surrogacy market.

Gestational surrogacy, the latest trend in reproductive tourism, a sub-industry of medical tourism, has increased exponentially over the last several years as Americans, Europeans and others seek out surrogacy services abroad. Advances in assisted reproductive technology (ART) have made gestational surrogacy more viable than reproductive endocrinologists and other fertility specialists thought imaginable just twenty years ago.

In-vitro fertilization, (IVF) in which a woman’s oocyte is fertilized outside of the womb in a laboratory setting and then transferred to a gestational carrier’s uterus, has made the option of gestational surrogacy viable for women experiencing infertility, gay couples, and single men.

“This Indian surrogates are like a God to them because without them they would never had had their child,” and “The joy that is there at the end of the day is a million times more than the money you can count.”

One such LGBT Friendly surrogacy clinic in India is Rotunda-The Center for Human Reproduction, they offer Gestational Surrogacy in India to people of all nationalities. All couples including lesbian and gay couples and even single men and single women can avail this facility to fulfill their dream of enjoying parenthood. Now everyone can have baby.

The first foreign gay partners to acquire a baby through surrogacy in India — in May 2008 — were Israelis who used the Rotunda Fertility Clinic in Mumbai, which has been at the forefront of what some call the “pregnancy outsourcing” trend in India. They have since then handled pregnancies for more then 60 overseas gay couples.

In recent years, Turkey has developed a booming medical tourism industry offering quality healthcare at affordable prices, made accessible to Western Europeans and most especially inhabitants of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan as well as surrounding neighbors in Albania and Armenia and Georgia. Medical facilities within Turkey offer major surgical procedures and treatments for great savings (and availability of services) found in these countries.

Travelers from Central Europe and Russia take advantage of cosmetic and dental procedures, laser surgeries, eye treatment and cardiovascular research and health facilities in a country striving to take its place in the world economy and in the field of medical research and health care. Central locations such as Istanbul, Izmir and Kusadasi offer quality medical care for a multitude of treatments and procedures and offer higher quality service in modern and relaxed atmospheres.

With state of the art facilities, equipment and expertise, Turkey is building a medical tourism industry that attracts patients to Turkish clinics and some of the finest hospitals in Turkey, including the Florence Nightingale Hospital, internationally recognized for its outstanding orthopedics and vascular disease treatments. Fields of oncology and plastic surgery as well as the daVinci method of robotic heart and prostate surgeries are attracting world-wide attention to the growing reputation surrounding Turkey for the best service that still beats medical or health costs from throughout Europe and North America.

Turkey as a medical destination offer travelers from Russia, Middle Eastern and South African countries such as Nigeria, Egypt, and Iran and the “ikistan” countries quality healthcare that can’t be received at home. Turkmenistan has developed a five billion dollar medical health tourism project to create, grow and develop a unique center for health tourism including tourism facilities and accommodations, health centers, medical spas, and clinics to care for the influx of medical travelers seeking affordable, accessible, and quality care in a multitude of fields.

PlacidWay, a medical tourism portal, is dedicated to providing knowledge on the variety of medical treatments and procedures to be found in Turkey, as well as spread growing awareness on the excellent, accredited and certified training and experience of Turkish doctors, clinics, hospitals and other health care facilities.

Turkey is fast gaining a reputation of providing superlative medical and health care in many fields, including cosmetic and plastic surgery, cardiac care and procedures, vision, LASIK technology and orthopedics and dentistry, just to name a few. With state-of-the-art facilities located not only in her major cities such as Istanbul and Ankara, but scattered along the southern portion of the state along the Mediterranean, Turkish physicians and surgeons offer high class care and expertise to natives and international travelers. The majority of Turkish physicians and surgeons are trained in Europe or the United States, and offer experience and knowledge in new technologies and techniques.

In addition, medical costs for procedures and surgeries in Turkey offer international medical travelers huge savings that generally amount to as much as 50% to 75% on costs for the same surgeries and procedures in the U.S.

As today’s consumers demand more choices in medical care, locations such as Turkey and Croatia are bound to see a growth in the development of healthcare protocols, accreditations, facilities, and medical services provided for global travelers as well as those from central, western and Eastern Europe.
